Auckland Valuations Limited (Part of the Crocker Group Ltd) is seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Valuer to join our progressive team. As part of the Crocker Property Group, New Zealand’s leading independent body corporate management company, we offer a unique opportunity to work within a highly stable environment with established-recurring revenues.

This is a sole charge role designed for a motivated, self-starter professional who thrives on variety. While you will handle a broad range of residential and commercial valuations, a significant focus of this position is the valuation of Bodies Corporate for insurance purposes.

You will be stepping into an extensive, active book of clients, providing an immediate platform for further expansion and professional growth. Recognising that professional risk is a major area of focus for practitioners, the company holds extensive and comprehensive professional indemnity insurance cover, ensuring our valuers can operate with absolute confidence and security in their professional findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Insurance Valuations: Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine full reinstatement and replacement costs for multi-unit developments and complex Body Corporate structures.
• Diverse Portfolio Management: Perform valuations across residential, lifestyle, and commercial sectors for mortgage security, pre-purchase/pre-sale, and financial reporting.
• Expert Advisory: Provide technical advice to Body Corporate committees and property owners regarding their insurance requirements under the Unit Titles Act 2010.
• Business Growth: Leverage our existing client network to identify and secure new business opportunities, contributing to our ongoing regional expansion path. Significant potential exists to explore opportunities across the residential property management, commercial property management and BC portfolios.
• Compliance: Ensure all reports meet the highest professional standards, adhering to the Valuers Act 1948 and International Valuation Standards (IVS).

Requirements

• Qualifications: Must be a Registered Valuer in New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
• Expertise: Proven experience in property valuation, specifically with insurance-based assessments and Body Corporate entities.
• Memberships: Active member of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers (NZIV) and/or the Property Institute of New Zealand (PINZ) and/or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• Attributes: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with existing clients and a proactive mindset to drive the company's growth.
